Private Pay

Advantages: Private pay therapy offers flexibility and confidentiality, as treatment is provided without a formal diagnosis. The client and therapist collaborate to determine the length and frequency of sessions, ensuring a personalized approach. Additionally, there is no paper trail to employers, allowing for complete privacy and discretion.

Health Insurance

Disadvantage: Employers insurance company decides how many sessions and how long they can be, requires a mental health diagnosis and formal treatment plan for reimbursement to provider.

Any co-pays or annual deductibles that may apply are still your financial responsibility when filing insurance claims. Using insurance doesn't always mean no out of pocket cost to you.

Advantage:  Lower out of pocket cost.

No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimate

Premier Counseling Service LLC is committed to transparency, clarity, and fairness in all aspects of care—including billing.

Your Rights Under the No Surprises Act

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give clients who are not using insurance or who are self-pay an estimate of the expected cost of services. This estimate is called a Good Faith Estimate, and it helps you understand what your therapy services may cost before you receive care.

Good Faith Estimate

Clients who are uninsured or not using insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that explains the expected cost of mental health services before they are provided. This written estimate is available upon request or when scheduling services and outlines anticipated fees.
